Our process for ordering a custom cabinet design.
Seven steps from your first phone call to a follow-up after your cabinets are delivered — so you always know what happens next, and who’s responsible for what.
Initial contact
Reach out as a walk-in, a referral, or a contractor request — whatever’s easiest for you.
Design consultation
We talk through your custom cabinet design needs and goals, in the showroom or on-site.
Measuring
Our designer can measure your site, or we’ll work from measurements you or your contractor provide. Whoever provides the measurements is responsible for their accuracy.
Proposal
You’ll receive a proposal with 3D visuals, cabinet specifications, and pricing.
Deposit & order placement
Once you approve your cabinet design, we place your order with the manufacturer.
Production tracking & delivery
We track your cabinet order through production and coordinate delivery to your job site or our showroom.
Installer referral & follow-up
We’ll share our list of recommended local installers and follow up after the sale to make sure everything’s on track.
Hickory & Stone does not perform installation. We focus on design, ordering, and coordination, and we maintain a curated list of recommended local installers we’re happy to share. Measurement accuracy is the responsibility of whoever provides the measurements — our designer, or you and your contractor.
